Family history can include documents, photos, oral history, and family heirlooms. How do you start researching your own family history? How do you preserve family history for future generations through storytelling? Kenyatta D. Berry, author of The Family Tree Toolkit: A Comprehensive Guide to Uncovering Your Ancestry and Researching Genealogy, will provide tips on researching, preserving, and sharing all aspects of your family’s history.

Author of The Family Tree Toolkit: A Comprehensive Guide to Uncovering Your Ancestry and Researching Genealogy and host of the PBS show Genealogy Roadshow, Kenyatta D. Berry works to bridge the gap between genealogists and historians, a merging of professions that she deems significant and necessary. A native Detroiter, she is a graduate of Michigan State University and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
